The European Federation of Cytology Societies 3rd Annual Tutorial will be residential and will provide a basic introduction in cytological diagnosis as well as some advanced topics and diagnostic techniques. There will be sessions on endoscopic and endobronchial ultrasound-guided FNA and all lecturers will emphasis ancillary tests and immunocytochemistry in their presentations and workshops.

National Pathology Week 1-7 November 2010 is organised by the Royal College of Pathologists and is sponsored by Siemens healthcare Diagnostics to highlight the central role of pathology in everyone's healthcare. During the week hundreds of pathologists and scientists from 19 different pathology specialties including haematologists, histopathologists, medical microbiologists, clinical biochemists and immunologists will be holding events to increase people’s understanding and interest in the science behind the diagnosis of disease.
This year the theme of National Pathology Week is the building blocks of life, focusing on the role of pathology specialties in the health of mothers and babies.
